Two of the most popular Spanish-speaking musical groups are teaming up to bring their rock hits to Tucson. Hombres G and Los Enanitos Verdes will hit the stage at the award-winning AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol on Saturday, June 18 at 8 p.m.
The Spanish pop rock band, Hombres G has remained popular throughout the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Touring as a reunion with the original members, David Summers on bass and vocals, Rafa Guitierres and Dani Mezquita on guitar, and Javi Molina on drums, the band is known for such hits as “Devuélveme a Mi Chica,” “Te Quiero” and “Marta Tiene un Marcapasos.”
Los Enanitos Verdes will also grace the AVA stage on June 18. The rock trio from Argentina is made up of Marciano Cantero on bass guitar, keyboards and vocals, Felipe Staiti on guitar and Daniel Piccolo on drums. The group formed in 1984, and are known for many hit singles that include “Tu Carcel,” “Luz de Día” and “La Murallá Verde.”
