Rescuers remove worker stuck at top of 100-foot Ohio McDonald’s sign

A man was rescued Wednesday after he ended up stuck about 100 feet in the air for about two hours while working on a McDonald’s sign.

According to Fox 19, the lift the worker was using malfunctioned at about 1:28 p.m., leaving him stuck on the lift’s platform. The worker, Matt Keller, tells WLWT Channel 5 that he used his cellphone to call his boss. His boss then called 911.

The Butler County Technical Rescue Team was called to the scene, WLWT reports. The team used a 110-foot with a bucket at the top to rescue Keller from the malfunctioning lift.

Although temperatures were cold, Keller was unharmed, reports say.
