Just ahead of Earth Day today, April 22, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and Ward 3 Council Member Karin Uhlich presented an Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Roadmap on Tuesday that creates a path for the City to rapidly advance the adoption of electric vehicles within City operations and throughout the community. The EV-Readiness Roadmap outlines a series of strategies and actions to increase EV technologies and innovation locally, as well as promoting greater access to EVs and EV charging infrastructure for Tucson residents. It also includes a timeline of actions to be implemented. In addition to the EV-Readiness Roadmap, Mayor and Council this week adopted the Tucson Tree Equity Score as the primary tool to prioritize investments for the City’s Tucson Million Trees initiative and green infrastructure projects from the Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Fund.
