City of Tucson Parks and Recreation has postponed registration for summer activities, including leisure classes, swim lessons, therapeutic programs, and youth and teen programs (KIDCO, IBC, Junior Staff in Training). Registration was scheduled to begin Saturday, May 2.
Staff is delaying registration for these activities until they have better information and guidance on program operation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Information will be posted on the City website as it becomes available. Those seeking to register are urged to check the site frequently.
All of the recreation centers and pools operated by Tucson Parks and Recreation remain closed per directives from Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” Executive Order. Traditionally, those community centers have offered programs for residents ranging from pre-school age to senior citizens.
