Sahuarita is a community located south of Tucson, in Pima County, Arizona. Its name is related to the saguaro, the famous cactus of the Sonoran Desert that is part of the region’s landscape. The word Sahuarita refers to “little saguaro,” due to the presence of these cacti in the surrounding area.
