According to the Environmental Working Group, in 2024, strawberries, spinach, grapes, peppers, pears, peaches, collard greens, and mustard were the agricultural products most contaminated with pesticides.
Pesticide consumption has been linked in studies to premature birth, congenital disabilities, miscarriages, low sperm concentrations, heart disease, cancer, and other health disorders.
