Pima County will begin administering its first 11,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, Dec. 17.
The first groups to receive the vaccine include certain health care workers (including EMS staff) and long-term-care facility staff and residents.
The next phases in the first group include additional health care workers, adults in congregate settings, law enforcement, K-12 and college educators and child care workers, and essential service/critical industry workers.
The first phase (divided into three groups) will last until spring 2021, after which time the vaccines will be available to the general population. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two immunizations within 21-30 days for you to be fully protected. You can find the prioritization list at the link below.
