National Breastfeeding Month
Breastfeeding is a bond you never forget; it’s much more than feeding a baby: it’s an act of love, protection, and connection that strengthens the bond between mother and child.
August is observed as National Breastfeeding Month, where we celebrate every breastfeeding story and recognize the importance of providing support to all families so they can experience it with information, respect, and guidance.
This initiative promotes the benefits of breastfeeding for the health of babies and mothers, while also encouraging access to support, education, and environments that make this practice easier. During this month, the World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7) is also celebrated, emphasizing the importance of protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding in families and communities.
