Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta Returns to Tucson for the Thirteenth Year

 

The 13th annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta presented by Vantage West, Modelo, and Visit Tucson will return to Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. The 2024 dates are October 3 – 6.

We are proud to announce that the Mexican Baseball Fiesta is now an official part of the The Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacifico’s (Mexican Winter Baseball League) version of “Spring Training” LAMP (Liga Arco Mexicana del Pacifico) Tour. As part of the LAMP Tour MBF will feature 6 teams and the University of Arizona. The LMP teams are Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Yaquis de Obregon, Aguilas de Mexicali, Mayos de Navojoa and for the first time in Tucson Algodoneros de Guasave and Charros de Jalisco.

The Arizona Wildcats have played in the MBF for the last four years. This year’s Wildcats game will be against Hermosillo in the second game of the doubleheader on Thursday, October 3rd. This will be the fifth year UofA has been in the Fiesta rapidly becoming a Wildcat tradition.

The Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta is excited to announce the return of Su Majestad La Brissa following the Sunday doubleheader on October 6th. We are also happy to announce our new partnership with The Desert NV Entertainment that will help us bring even more great music guests and add to our Fiesta.

Tickets for the Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta go on sale in early September online atwww.MexicanBaseballFiesta.com. Game tickets are box seats – $25, adult general admission – $20, students (6-16) and seniors are $10, under 6 are free. Tickets will also be on sale at the Kino Stadium box office as well as other local locations the week of the games.

“Over the last 13 years, the Arco Mexican Pacific League has developed a great partnership with the Mexican Baseball Fiesta and we are proud to now be part of the official pre season! We are happy to celebrate with the Arizona fans the championship obtained by a participant of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta the Naranjeros de Hermosillo. This is their 17 championship and the second one achieved while participating on the MBF.” said Francisco Gamez, Mexican Baseball Fiesta, Founder and Partner. Gamez played over 10 years in the Mexican Pacific League as well as in the Milwaukee Brewers organization in the states.

“The Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta has become one of the top entertainment/baseball events on the Tucson calendar,” said Mike Feder, President of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta. “The energy of the fans, the music, the food, and the fun make this a unique experience for all baseball fans. We believe the Fiesta is the largest Hispanic sporting event in Tucson every year.” Feder is a 30-year minor league baseball general manager, 15 of those years as the GM of the Tucson Triple-A franchise. Francisco Gamez, Mexican Baseball Fiesta Founder and Partner was a longtime professional baseball pitcher in both minor league baseball and the Liga Mexicana Del Pacifico joined Feder in forming the Mexican Baseball Fiesta LLC in 2011.

Chip Hale, Arizona Wildcats Baseball Coach, said “Playing in the Mexican Baseball Fiesta is an honor for Arizona Baseball. It is a great event for our program to be associated with. The baseball passion of Tucson is on full display and our players get to be a part of it.”

The Mexican Baseball Fiesta will also take place in the Phoenix area on September 26 – September 29 at American Family Fields of Phoenix in Maryvale and our newest location Camelback Ranch in Glendale/Phoenix. The MBF will play in Douglas and both Nogales Arizona and Nogales Sonora dates will be announced soon. Mexican Baseball Fiesta will also be in Las Cruces New Mexico for the first time and we are also currently evaluating multiple cities across southwest Arizona to bring even more Mexican Baseball Fiesta.
