In an announcement yesterday by University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins, the school confirmed that the fall semester will begin as scheduled next month with a mix of in-person and remote instruction.
Administration officials believe as many as 20,000 people may return to campus. Safety precautions will include mandatory mask wearing, enhanced sanitization, physical distancing, lower class density, COVID-19 testing, and contact tracing.
The UA’s re-entry task force is led by Dr. Richard Carmona, seventeenth Surgeon General of the United States.
