Arizona Bilingual Newspaper; wants to thank everyone who joined us this past Saturday, July 23 at the 11th annual Back to School event, which took place at the Tucson Convention Center. A special thanks to our great presenters like HSL Properties, Food City, Pima County and Tucson Electric Power, who made so much of this event possible. As well as our special sponsors such as the office of Councilman Richard Fimbres, Ward 5, Tucson International Academy, Vantage West and the Tucson Unified School District, as well as the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson, for given away 3,000 free textbooks in Spanish from first grade to sixth grade. We also want to especially thank our Mayor of Tucson Regina Romero for joining us in this great event, as well as the Pima County Supervisor, District 5 Adelita Grijalva.
In the same way, we recognize all our sponsors, non-profit organizations, the Police Departments of the City of Tucson, the Fire Department and the US Army.
A big shout out to the Roadrunners and their mascot Dusty, who is always amazing and, on the go, as well as the Pima County Sheriff’s Department mascot McGraw.
