The Summer Food Services Program for Children provides free breakfast and lunch meals during the summer break to children 18 and under.
This year, to provide safety during the coronavirus pandemic, we’re offering Grab-And-Go meals.

Routes are set by region. Take a look at the schedules at the left, find the school nearest you, and come pick up meals to go.
Breakfast and lunch are provided Monday-Friday at the bus stops listed on the schedules. Summer bus routes run between 8am-12:00pm to avoid the heat. Lunch entrées will be provided cold/frozen to be heated up at home (heating instructions provided).

The Grab and Go Routes will run from May 26-July 24, 2020.*
*No routes will run on Friday, July 3; instead, double meals will be served on Thursday, July 2.
Summer Meals at Boys and Girls Clubs
In addition to our Grab-and-Go summer meal routes, meals are served this summer at several Boys and Girls Clubs in Tucson through July 31. (Note: no meals will be served on July 3 .) Check the Schedule for Summer Meals at Boys and Girls Clubs for the site nearest you!
How does Grab and Go work?
Check the schedules, find a school near you, and come get your meals. One breakfast and one lunch will be provided for each child under 18. These meals are free to all children 18 and under. There are no eligibility requirements–all children 18 and under can receive these free meals.
Children do not have to be present for meal pick-up. Parents/Guardians will be asked to provide one of the following for meal pick-up if children are not present:
- A student ID card, report card, or other school issued documentation with a child’s name such as enrollment, class schedule, IEP etc.
- Show a video call home to show their children at home
- For children not enrolled in school: documentation with a child’s name and date of birth such as a medical document
- If none of the above is able to be provided, staff will ask for the parent/guardian’s name, child’s name and school (or date of birth if not enrolled in school) which will be logged by staff.
*Staff providing the meals will not be collecting any of these documents–they just need to be shown.
Please note we are asking parents and children to practice the recommended social distancing of 6 feet between one another while at the bus stops to receive meals. Food Service staff will help remind parents and children of this while they are at the bus stops. We appreciate everyone’s consideration of this request.
If you have questions or need help finding a location, please call Food Services at (520) 225-4700.
