Construction starts at the new Ward 1 Barrio Nopal Park in May. The 5.7-acre park at S. Nogales Hy., between Aragon Rd. and Elvira Rd., will feature a playground with a shade structure, splash pad, restroom, accessible sidewalks and soft walking paths, water harvesting areas, ramadas, and a picnic area. This brand-new $3.8 million neighborhood park and amenities are funded by Prop 407, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Impact Fees.
