As of Monday, March 23, there are 24 cases of COVID-19 in Pima County. State health officials confirmed Arizona’s second death Sunday, March 22.
The individual was a male in his 70s with underlying health conditions. Officials with Cochise County confirmed its first case Friday, March 20 and the Santa Cruz County Health Department confirmed its first positive case Thursday, March 19.
The Pima County Health Department is not identifying the patients by name, nor are they saying where they live.
