– The cost to get into Reid Park Zoo is going up. Starting Monday, July 1, admission is increasing due to inflation and the rising costs of supplies, such as animal food, veterinary supplies, and grounds and maintenance resources. Last December, Tucson’s Mayor and Council approved a four-year pricing schedule that begins with a 75-cent increase for adults and a 50-cent increase for children. That means the new admission prices will be $11.25 for adults (ages 15-61), $9.25 for seniors (ages 62 and up), $7 for children (ages 2-14), and children under the age of 2 still get in free. The increase will be the first hike in eight years. Meanwhile, the “$3 Ticket Tuesdays” promotion continues through the end of July.
