Editor´s letter
Dear readers, friends, and members of our community:
We welcome the month of August during one of the most intense seasons of the year in our region. The extreme heat, monsoon rains, and flash flooding remind us of the importance of staying informed and prepared for severe weather conditions.
During these weeks, we encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions: stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, never leave children or pets inside a vehicle, and pay close attention to weather alerts. During storms, it is especially important to avoid flooded streets and respect all road closures. Taking care of one another is a shared responsibility.
At Arizona Bilingual, we work diligently every day to provide timely and relevant information to all our readers. Our commitment is to keep our community connected to news, resources, culture, traditions, and opportunities that help strengthen and support our families.
We are also proud to organize major family-friendly events that offer entertainment, services, education, and free community resources. At the same time, we create valuable opportunities for local businesses, companies, organizations, and entrepreneurs to connect directly with thousands of families through our events, print advertising, digital marketing, social media, and other communication platforms.
We are extremely pleased with the incredible success of our Kidz Expo & Back to School event, held on July 30 at the Tucson Convention Center. We are deeply grateful for the tremendous support, assistance, and collaboration from our sponsors, community partners, exhibitors, performers, volunteers, and all the families who joined us. Thank you to every person and organization that helped make this special celebration possible. In this edition, you will find a recap featuring some of the most memorable moments from this unforgettable back-to-school event.
This back-to-school season, we are sharing important recommendations to help parents support their children’s learning, safety, and academic development. Learn how to establish effective study routines, make homework easier to manage, discover new educational opportunities, and maintain consistent communication with teachers and schools. Find more information in this edition of Arizona Bilingual.
We are now preparing to celebrate ¡Vive El Grito!, our Mexican Independence Day celebration, on Sunday, September 13, at Kennedy Park from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will be an afternoon filled with culture, music, tradition, entertainment, and pride in our heritage. There will also be many opportunities for local businesses, companies, organizations, and vendors to participate in this incredible celebration and showcase their products and services to the community.
