Tumamoc Hill to open next week

Tumamoc Hill will reopen to walkers next Monday, May 25, Memorial Day, more than two months after it was closed because of COVID-19 concerns.
When it reopens, Tumamoc will have a tightened set of guidelines for those who use it.
Group sizes will be limited to three, and walkers will be expected to stay at least 6 feet away from others and wear masks.
The early-morning hours from 6-8 a.m. will be limited to those over the age of 65 and people with pre-existing health conditions who are considered more vulnerable to the disease than the average person.
Hand-sanitizing stations will be set up along the road, and walkers are being asked to refrain from touching the gate at the hilltop, which is a longstanding tradition for many.
