The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona has moved its food distribution location in Tucson to Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, and is reducing its distribution hours starting today, May 5, to allow for faster and more efficient pickup.
Food distribution at the stadium will be held from 7-10 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
While the new hours are a reduction, the food bank still expects to meet its demands as cars will be moving through the distribution site faster.
The drive-thru method helps limits person-to-person contact to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona also has walk-in sites in Marana, Green Valley, Amado, and Nogales.
