City sets up COVID-19 Hotline
The City has setup a public information hotline to answer questions regarding City service interruptions and closures as a result of our response to COVID-19. This hotline is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. After hours callers will have the option to send an email inquiry to comments@tucsonaz.govor leave a voice message that hotline staff will respond to the next day.
The hotline # is (520) 791-2540
This number is provided on all closure notices posted on City facilities.
The intent of this hotline is not to replace customer service response in your departments, rather it is to provide general information regarding closures and service interruptions. The City personnel taking calls on this hotline will provide up-to-date information on City service closures, refer callers to existing online payment portals and online reporting, and, in some cases, depending on the callers’ needs, they may be referring callers to your existing customer service portals.
Please notify your customer service representatives that this hotline is in place so that they may transfer customers with general questions regarding City service interruptions and closures. They should also be aware that they may be receiving call transfers from this hotline.
Public Safety Communications Director Jamie O’Leary will be responsible for the hotline. Jamie or her designee will provide day to day oversight of the hotline operation. We will be evaluating the call load and staffing needed to support the hotline.
We anticipate needing additional staff for this. Please identify City staff who can be assigned to complete 4 hour shifts on a temporary basis. Directors can forward those via email to Albert Elias and copy Jamie O’Leary and Collin Boyce.
