In its annual report, the Alzheimer’s Association estimated that the growth rate of adults aged 65 and older with Alzheimer’s in Arizona between 2020 and 2025 will be 33.3%, putting the state in first place in this statistic nationwide.
The report also indicated that African Americans (19%) and Hispanics (14%) aged 65 and older are at a disproportionately higher risk of experiencing this disorder compared to white Americans of the same age (10%).
