Reid Park Zoo lights up to bring holiday cheer in a tough year

Reid Park Zoo will be aglow for its annual “ZooLights: Holiday Magic,” 5:30-8:30 p.m. nightly, now through Dec. 23, and Dec. 26-30.

Guests will explore a wonderland filled with thousands of twinkling lights and glittering displays, from whimsical characters to illuminated animal sculptures. There will be falling snow to help set the festive mood and socially-distanced visits with Jolly St. Nick, who will be on hand for the little ones each evening, through Dec. 23, before he flies back to the North Pole.

Hot chocolate and seasonal foods also will be available for purchase. Putting health and safety first, ZooLights will have limited capacity each evening to allow for social distancing. Guests ages 5 and older are required to wear masks during their visit.

Timed tickets must be purchased online at the Reid Park Zoo website linked below. Don’t wait, because time slots sell out fast.
