Primary Elections: Tuesday, July 30, 2024

Check your voter registration!

The July 30 Primary Election is underway! Ballots for military and overseas voters were mailed on June 14, marking the beginning of an active election cycle.

The Pima County Recorder’s Office recommends that all voters check their voter registration to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date prior to any election.

All registered voters in Pima County are eligible to vote in the primary, including voters registered as independents or without a designated party.

Record

New voters or voters who need to make changes to their legal name, address, party affiliation, or the way they receive their ballot must submit a new voter registration form. Voters with an Arizona driver’s license or state ID can register or update their voter registration online at servicearizona.com.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate, voters must:

  • Residing in Pima County at least 29 days before the general election
  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be at least 18 years old on election day
  • Have their rights restored if they are convicted felons
  • Not having been declared incapacitated persons

Here’s what voters can expect on their Primary ballots:

  • Federal, state and county offices, justices of the peace/sheriffs, district committee members. Marana voters will also see candidates for mayor and municipal councilors. Voters in Oro Valley, Sahuarita and South Tucson will also vote for city council candidates.

Times, dates and locations are available at www.recorder.pima.gov/EarlyVotingSites.

Ballots must be received by our office by 7 p.m. m. on Election Day, Tuesday, July 30. We recommend that they be mailed no later than July 23. They can also be dropped off at any early voting site or on Election Day at any voting center.
