Tucson Parks and Recreation facilities, recreation centers, pools, and splash pads will remain closed at this time while the Mayor and Council work with the City Manager and departmental leadership to complete a phased City-wide reopening plan.
This plan is being developed in careful consideration to protect public health and comply with the associated published guidance from the Pima County Health Department, the Arizona Department of Health Services, and the CDC.
The proposed plan will be discussed at next week’s Mayor and Council Study Session on Tuesday, May 19, at 2 p.m. In addition, all aquatic, leisure class, and summer 2020 programs, including KIDCO, have been temporarily postponed as a sustainable plan ensuring the safety of participants and staff is developed.
