Pima County One-Stop Center Resources

If you’ve lost your job, are looking for a higher paying job, want to change careers, or want to explore other employment options, Pima County has many resources to help you.

The Pima County One-Stop, 2797 E. Ajo Way, collaborates with businesses, community, government and economic organizations, educational facilities, and faith groups to connect people with a new job.

Here you can use computers to create your own resume, free internet access and Wi-Fi, as well as explore job opportunities, access to a copier, telephones, fax machines, consultations, among many other things.

Other resources offered are labor market information, connection to jobs advertised online, workshops, counseling and can help you improve your resume.

More detailed services include vocational counseling, individual career planning, vocational education, job search and acquisition.

Each person has certain skills and interests and therefore each case is different.

There are programs for different groups such as youth, adults, dislocated workers, veterans, and the homeless.

The Youth Employment Center,  is for people between 14 and 24 years of age. Some services offered are workshops on creating a resume, practicing job interviews, exploring careers, and learning how to manage your finances.

In addition, they can get one-on-one counseling with a specialist, advice on their skills and interests, paid work experience, and recruitment events specifically geared toward this group of youth.

Qualified individuals may also receive training necessary to obtain employment. There are more than 300 occupational programs provided directly by employers. An assessment is used to determine if occupational training is appropriate, and the job seeker is helped to develop a training plan.

Visit us or call us at 520-724-7700, so you can learn about the wide range of programs we have to offer.
