The Best Of Two Worlds

Editor’s Letter

Dear Readers;

It’s not an easy task to get used to the desert or the freezing temperatures. But as human beings, we have the capacity to adapt to almost all temperatures. On the Southwestern part of the country, where we live, as well as the states of Sonora, Sinaloa, and Baja California Norte; have been catalogued as some of the hottest places on earth. And still, we manage to live here and sometimes fail to recognize it. We must feel more than proud for being us the ones who live in this area and day by day endure the temperatures with joy!

However, this does not mean that we shouldn’t take the necessary precautions with the whole family. In this issue, I’d like to invite you to read the information guide in English as well as in Spanish. Also, we would like to invite you to search additional information on monsoons, electric storms, what to do in case of either, and how to be prepared for them.

On the other hand, another useful piece of information for the whole family, especially those kids and teens between the ages of 6 and 13 years of age, we would like to invite you to join us at our 3rd Annual Kid’z Expo and Back to School, this upcoming Saturday, July 23rd at el Pueblo Activity Center located at 101 W. Irvington Rd., Tucson, AZ 85706. This event will start at 10AM and end around 2PM. We will be giving away over 1,000 backpacks and many school supplies to those who attend school, as we previously mentioned. In relation to that and apart from school related business, there will also be many other gifts given away including bicycles, scooters, many more on behalf of this event’s sponsors and presenters. Arizona Bilingual Newspaper, always supporting our community in different ways! See you there!!

At the same time, I’d like to share with you, is that we’re cooking up a health fair in the month of August, where all services present will be FREE for students from kinder to high school. Stay tuned for more details on this event!
