Vantage West and UA Football Coach Rich Rodriguez Team up To Support Six Arizona Charities
Public vote will determine $10,000 Grand Prize Winner and more
TUCSON, AZ– Vantage West Credit Union is teaming up with University of Arizona Football Coach Rich Rodriguez for the Commitment to Community Campaign, a friendly competition among six Arizona nonprofits vying for a $10,000 grand prize. The public is encouraged to vote daily for their favorite charity and be entered into weekly drawings for Coach Rodriguez autographed prizes.
The nonprofit receiving the most votes during the competition from Saturday, September 24, through Monday, November 21, will win the grand prize. The second place winner will receive $2,500 and the third place winner receives a $1,000 prize.
The six charities featured in the 2016 Commitment to Community Campaign are Ben’s Bells, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson, 100 Club of Arizona, Primavera Foundation, The Care Fund, and Tucson Values Teachers.
“Vantage West’s Commitment to Community Campaign showcases some of our area’s finest nonprofits and encourages our neighbors and friends to vote for their favorites. This is a project where everyone wins. These charities gain more visibility in the community and everyone who votes enters for a chance to win an autographed prize,” Ramirez explained. “After more than 60 years of investing in the communities we serve and in our membership, we wanted to find new ways to build those connections and showcase the good these groups do.”
As the coin toss sponsor of UA Football, Vantage West will feature the six nonprofits at the opening of the UA-Washington game Saturday, September 24. Representatives of each of the nonprofits will join Vantage West President/CEO Robert D. Ramirez on the field to be introduced during the coin toss ceremony.
“Just like University of Arizona football, Vantage West has a rich tradition,” said Rich Rodriquez, Arizona Head Football Coach. “I am happy to be part of the Commitment to Community Campaign—it’s a great way to integrate our community’s passionate support for Arizona football with our equally strong commitment to help organizations in our community that serve others.”
Voting by the public can be done online at vantagewest.org/commitment or by mail. Rules and details about how to vote by mail can be found on the Vantage West website or by visiting any Vantage West Credit Union branch.
