PIMA COUNTY HOSTS FEMA HIGH-CAPACITY COVID TESTING CENTER AT PCC WEST CAMPUS

 – At the request of the Pima County Health Department, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 9 is funding a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at Pima Community College (PCC) West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road. Site hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The site opened Saturday with a limited soft launch, but today, Jan. 24, was the official opening. The site, which is expected to administer 1,000 to 2,000 tests per day, is conducting self-swab PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and providing results to recipients within approximately 48 hours. The PCC site is the only drive-thru site sponsored by the Health Department. Tests are free and available to everyone, and identification is not required. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and same-day appointments may be available. Be sure to bring your voucher confirming your appointment to the site.
