Vantage West Credit Union, southern Arizona’s largest credit union, has named Tim Overton as its new Vice President of Business Lending and Services.

Overton brings to Vantage West more than two decades of experience as a commercial relationship manager for Chase, Wells Fargo, Northern Trust and National Bank of Arizona. A Tucson resident since 1997, Overton has a deep appreciation for community banking and the benefits it offers local business owners and ultimately the community at large.

Overton is also a member of the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Financial Executives and Affiliates of Tucson, 4 Tucson and the Tucson Airport Authority.

Overton replaces Jim Hanson, who recently retired.
Overton, who earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Riverside, is tasked with nurturing the continued growth of Vantage West’s business lending department.

“I have always been attracted to community banking, so much so that I have made conscious career moves to work with institutions, like Vantage West, that keep decision making local,” Overton said. “I believe that credit unions are the last true outposts for community banking.”
