– Tucson Parks and Recreation is hiring 170 lifeguards and 125 water safety instructors/senior lifeguards to safely operate 20 pools during the summer pool season. Tucson’s Mayor and Council last month passed a $15 per hour minimum wage for lifeguards.
Those ages 15 or older with American Red Cross CPR/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certificates and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or equivalent) can apply online today at the link below.
Applicants interested in lifeguarding can get certified through classes with Parks and Recreation. Those who have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification that expires soon can renew their certification through the Lifeguard Review class taking place March 19.
