What started with bingo in a tent shortly after Arizona regulations legalized gambling, became Casino of the Sun and has since evolved to include Casino Del Sol and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s enterprises as they exist today. This year, Casino Del Sol celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Casino Del Sol was built in three phases. The process began with the gaming floor, which hosted some food outlets and then expanded to include a banquet and convention space. Nine years later, a second tower was built.
Today, the premiere entertainment destination has 350 rooms, 11 venues and 16 restaurants serving locally sourced cuisine. Casino Del Sol boasts a prestigious five-time AAA Four-Diamond rating and TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence and has been named Best Hotel in Arizona by U.S. News & World Report.
