The Best Of Two Worlds

Letter from the Editor

I am writing to you once again to bring you this month’s updates. As you know, this is one of the most beautiful times of the year, a season of Christmas and ‘end of the year’ parties. It is also a time to remember and recap everything that happened, whether it was good or bad, the important thing is to keep moving forward. Enjoy and take advantage of time with family and friends, and finish the year with a big blowout to make way for new projects in 2018!

We, at Arizona Bilingual Newspaper, have decided to take that same advice, and we took an important step towards the future of our company; with a change of image in our publication, we fulfilled another one of our goals before finishing the year. In our November edition, we decided to switch printing press companies and, at the same time, change the material of our front cover, from a regular newspaper material to a glossy finish, with a more attractive and modern image. Something that will greatly benefit our company, as well as our partners and clients. We are very happy to start a new era in our company, and we are excited about the new projects to come.

Looking back at last month’s events, I am happy to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, we achieved our goal of giving away 1,000 turkeys to Tucson families at our event ‘The Thanksgiving Festival’ which took place at the Tucson Clinica Medica Familiar, this past November 18th. We are very happy to have contributed so much to the community, and to bring so much joy to families in need. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate our friend and community leader, Council Member Richard Fimbres, for getting re-elected this past November 7th, as Council Member for ‘Ward 5’ of the City of Tucson. Without a doubt, a huge victory for the citizens of Tucson, seeing as Richard has always been one of the leaders who has always supported the economy and the safety of our community; Congratulations!

Before saying goodbye, I want to invite you to be part of this December edition, where you can find many community events that will transpire throughout December and January, in addition to articles on education, health, business and much more about this ‘mega region’.

If you are interested in participating in our events, general information and/or suggestions, write us to editor@newsazb.com
