September is one of the most patriotic and with more relevance months in the world, especially for Mexico is a month in which they all get together and shout in harmony, VIVA MEXICO, VIVA MEXICO!! In Mexico, as well as, in every corner of the world, the celebration of the Independence reminds us about our culture and traditions that we so proudly carry around everywhere we go. Without a doubt, we are very proud to be Mexicans!!!

In Arizona, as in many US cities, Tucson, AZ, has many festivities, starting with the celebration of the Independence of Mexico on Thursday, Sept. 15th, the official day for the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson, in the historic Fox Theatre from 7:00 PM, free event for everyone! On the other hand, Arizona Bilingual, Azteca Tucson presenters and sponsors, presenting on Friday,
September 16th at Armory Park, located on 6th Avenue, in Downtown Tucson, the celebration of Mexico’s independence from 5:00 PM -11: 00PM. An event for the entire family to enjoy, full of music, dances, mariachis, bands, and with more than 15 food booths featuring our delicious “antojitos” for you to taste to enjoy. In addition, Tucson Mayor, Jonathan Rothschild and Ricardo Pineda from the Consulate of Mexico, as well as, local leaders and special guests will conduct the ceremony of the 206th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico, starting at 8:00 PM. Please join us for this grand celebration!

Tucson has countless Mexico Independence celebrations during the month of September; you can enjoy many concerts such as the one on Saturday, September 17th with Marco Antonio Solis at the AVA at Casino del Sol or CAMILA at the Rialto Theater and on Saturday September 24th, Desert Diamond Casino on Pima Mine Rd. presents Gloria Trevi.
