The Best Of Two Worlds

Editor´s Message

AlmaOctober is one of the best months of the entire year, we have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful moons, excellent weather, and the exceptional scents of autumn. It’s the perfect time to enjoy local events with our families.

The Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every year between September 15 and October 15 recognizing the contributions of Hispanic culture in the United States.
The origin of this festival, started back in 1968, when the United States Congress authorized President Lyndon B. Johnson to proclaim National Hispanic Heritage Week, included September 15 celebrating the independence of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, September 16 for the independence of Mexico and September 18 for the independence of Chile.
President Ronald Reagan marked in 1988 the celebration of Hispanic Heritage, in which each year is celebrated for a period of one month.
Today the Hispanic culture is an integral part of American culture and can be seen in its wide variety of flavors, colors, music & language.
