The Best Of Two Worlds

Welcome to Arizona’s fabulous spring weather!

Dear readers,

April is one of the best months and is filled with outdoor events you’re sure to enjoy.

I am happy to share with you and invite you to our 1st Children’s Day Festival. It will be held on Sunday, April 26 at the “Children’s Museum.” Starting at 10am, this event is completely FREE for the whole family. Enjoy a day with the kids full of information, entertainment, music, food, activities, plus you visit the museum for free! Mayor Rothschild and some council members from Pima County and the City of Tucson, the Consul of Mexico and other community leaders will welcome you and your family.
We invite all children through 8-13 years old to send us a letter before April 19 and tell us which community leader they would like to emulate when they grow up. The winners will be rewarded at the event in the presence of these leaders. Two weeks later, the children will have the opportunity to spend a day at their offices and help them perform their jobs. Make a dream come true for your children and send us their letters before April 19 to: Arizona Bilingual Newspaper -245 S. Plumer, Suite # 14, Tucson, AZ. 85719. Remember: Making a child happy, helps to ensure a bright future!

Speaking of children, it is very important that as a parent we spend daily time with our children. What better way to do it than reading a book, tale, story or whatever tickles their fancy. It only takes 15 minutes to a half an hour a day. It’s a great way to spend special time with your child.
Arizona Bilingual Newspaper invites you to join us this month and partake in all of the celebrations: concerts, fairs, and exhibits. Spend quality time with your families, friends or as acouple. April and first days of May are just packed with events right here in Tucson, AZ.

For starters, there’s the “Pima County Fair” from 16 to 26 April. An attraction for adults and children alike with games, exhibitions, concerts, food, music and more, not to be missed!
Another important event takes place on Saturday, April 25, “Night of Stars.” Celebrating its 24th anniversary at the AVA Amphitheatre of Casino del Sol from 10am to 4pm with the principal concert at 6pm. All proceeds from this event will be donated to provide scholarships to students who cannot afford their school or college tuition. The ticket are only $10 US. All together we can achieve it!
We continue with the conference, expo and food for women entrepreneurs. This event is annually organized by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, “Head Over Heels” where entrepreneurs will have a special day. It will be held on Saturday, April 18 at the Desert Diamond Casino in Nogales Hwy. Special guests include: Michelle Herrera, editor of Cosmopolitan magazine in Spanish, and Nelly Galan, founder of the movement “Forward Movement”. Finally, a very special event for women entrepreneurs is the business forum: “Tucson Means Business/Tucson Significa Negocios”, which will take place on Thursday, April 23, from 11am to 1pm on YWCA facilities in Bonita Ave. Ward 1, Council Member Regina Romero, and Arizona Bilingual Newspaper invite you to this informative forum for entrepreneurs. This event is free with experts from different areas of the city and county report all steps concerning your business or start-up.
