The Best Of Two Worlds

Editor letter

Dear readers:

This May, we pay tribute to all the mothers from Mexico, the United States, and other countries. I want to ask all of you: Are you one of those who celebrate mom on mothers’ day, or do you do it every day of the year? I am pleased to share this very personal experience with you; although, my beloved mother is no longer with us. I feel delighted with the love, affection, and adoration that my family and I profess in life to my dear mother. Now that she’s gone, I talk to her every day, since dawn. Even when I say goodbye to her when I go to sleep, I am sure that she is always by my side, guiding me and protecting me. Adored mother, thank you for making of me a good human being and giving me the strength to move forward and transmit that love, affection, values, and support to my daughter.

In this edition, you will be able to see the stories of some women of the community who before anything else, are mothers, business owners, and businesswomen who represent us in many ways. They, as well as you, are people who struggle daily to be good mothers, take care of their children, husbands, and the rest of the family, go to work, pick up children and take care of endless responsibilities daily. My admiration and appreciation to all working mothers, tirelessly daily. To those who no longer are with us, always remember them with much love and affection!

On the other hand, I share with you that this past April, we had the Children’s Day Festival in its eleventh edition, a beautiful event, without setbacks, with a lot of joy and fun, which carried out in the children’s museum, on April 24. The official numbers were 2,560 people who entered the museum that day, closing with more than 3,500 people. We are thankful for our fantastic event presenters, sponsors, clients, organizations, corporations, police, and food stalls that gathered. Our appreciation to the great entertainment that accompanied us; they put the note of joy and the staff and volunteers of the children’s museum and the team from Arizona Bilingual Newspaper. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this big event!

I want to invite you to learn about the wide variety of events we have this May, outdoor events, concerts, dinners, graduations, and many other celebrations. Here at Arizona Bilingual, we are always honored to inform you of endless free possibilities, information, and resources in our print edition and daily on our social media. Follow us, like us, and ask; we will gladly inform you.

This May 21, Sunnyside Night of the Stars returns. As a special guest Graciela Beltran, they will also have the presentation of mariachis and folklore at the AVA amphitheater of Casino del Sol. Join us!

My best wishes to you, mothers; you are the pillar of the family. Your strength and determination give us the courage to move forward. Thank you for loving your family! Happy Mother’s Day!
