Catalina State Park in Tucson, Arizona, is one of the city’s most popular hiking and camping destinations thanks to its accessible trails and stunning landscapes filled with cacti and other fauna and flora from the Sonoran Desert.
The park was dedicated on May 25, 1983 by Governor Bruce Babbitt, and over the years it became an attraction for outdoorspeople and scholars alike; the University of Arizona has performed studies surrounding environmental conservation in the park.
The park offers 120 campsites, picnic areas, and a vast network of trails that connect with Coronado National Forest.
