Monthly event will feature 12 chefs, one steer
Join PY Steakhouse every month in 2017 for “Dinner with Chefs,” a monthly wine dinner event that will feature 12 of Tucson’s top culinary artists as guest chefs at the award-winning PY Steakhouse.
Each month, a different chef from around the Southern Arizona region will partner with PY Steakhouse’s Chef de Cuisine Ryan Clark to create a three-course dinner menu using two different cuts of beef. No cuts of beef will be duplicated throughout the entire year, meaning 24 different cuts of beef will be used, or “one steer.” Each dish will be paired with a glass of wine.
The featured chefs for each month are:
January Brian Smith
February Danny Perez
March Virginia “Ginny” Wooters
April Maria Mazon
May Brandon Dillon and Tyler Fenton
June Devon Sanner
July Jonathan Landeen
August David Soloranzo
September Ramiro Scavo
October Paulo Im
November Kyle Nottingham
December Kenneth Foy
The first dinner will take place on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m., with Chef Brian Smith of Maynards Market & Kitchen. The menu will feature:
PY Steakhouse bread service paired with Chef’s beverage of choice, a Manhattan
Puffed grass-fed beef tendon paired with a sparkling rosé
Prime beef fermented with local Dragoon beer paired with an old vine zinfandel
Extra virgin olive oil cake paired with a late harvest chardonnay
These dinners will be private and intimate, with limited availability. The three-course meal is $65 per person, which includes three wines plus one cocktail.
