Why vote?

Voting is a right and a privilege, but also a responsibility, it is the way to express power, it is the mechanism of citizen participation. Through voting, citizens elect their candidates for popularly elected positions. And although no law requires American citizens to vote, voting is the most effective way to participate in our democracy.
