The Small Business Utility Assistance grant program will start accepting applications Monday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. Mayor Regina Romero and the Tucson City Council recently approved $1 million in federal CARES Act funds to help small businesses (with fewer than 50 employees) pay their utility bills.
Eligible businesses must have faced economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Preference will be given to small businesses that did not receive assistance from other programs and to businesses owned by women, minorities, veterans, disabled, and otherwise disadvantaged groups to increase the equitable dispersion of grant funds throughout the City of Tucson and the City of South Tucson.
The Women’s Business Center of the YWCA Southern Arizona will administer the Small Business Utility Assistance Grants. Follow the links below for more information.
