It is highly recommended that everyone from 6 months of age get vaccinated and recommended by the end of October. However, as long as the virus continues to circulate, it will continue to be offered throughout the season.
The vaccine is important for everyone but especially for people 65 years and older since they have a high risk of developing more severe complications
The best way to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated every year, but good habits like avoiding people who are sick, covering your mouth, washing your hands frequently can help stop the spread of germs and prevent others respiratory diseases.
We know that the holidays are just around the corner but it is important to remember that although things look very different this year but with the necessary precautions there will always be ways to celebrate the holidays with our loved ones.
