Friends of Pima Animal Care Center and PACC will offer free spay/neuter surgeries June 4-8, for large breed dogs (dogs currently over 40 pounds or puppies reaching a adult weight over 40 pounds). Limit of 2 dogs per household.
The surgeries will be performed by PACC veterinarians using the mobile medical unit, Karen’s Karing Van and by Asavet Charities.
Registration for the clinics is on a first-come, first-served basis and begins at 8 a.m.

Youth on Their Own (previous location), 1642 N. Alvernon Way. 35 places available.
- Thursday June 6
San Miguel High School, 6601 San Fernando Ave. 35 spots available.
- Saturday June 8
Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic, 5408 S. 12th Ave. 35 spots available.
Complimentary services include standard spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations (surgical patients only), microchipping and a cone.

All dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier, be a minimum of two months old and weigh at least two pounds, not eat after midnight (the morning of surgery). Pets under five months old do not need to fast.
Open to all Pima County residents, except Marana and Sahuarita. Not for rescue groups.
Dogs in heat are accepted (as are pregnant dogs). It is recommended that the owner purchase painkillers for $15 for dogs in heat. For specialized situations, such as a current pregnancy, charges may apply.
