The Best Of Two Worlds

Editor´s letter

Dear readers,

The month of April is characterized by being a month when we can enjoy outdoor activities; climbing, visiting museums, zoos, baseball games, soccer, etc. In the city of Tucson and Pima County we have excellent areas to walk and bike, just as our parks, trails and fields allow us to enjoy the weather with the family, while benefiting our health and well-being. Try to have that quality time daily or at least 2-3 times a week.

This past March, we had the opportunity to celebrate the annual Arizona Latinas Conference, presented by Arizona Bilingual Newspaper. An unprecedented event, where we had the opportunity to receive more than 250 entrepreneurs, business owners and beginners, who enjoyed an afternoon of motivation, unity and empowerment. Our 7 panelists shared with all of us their life stories, their successes, and gave us the reasons that motivated them to reach those jobs that they represent today. We also awarded four awards to businesses operated by women that have transcended our community. At the same time, a great business expo, connections, mixer and live entertainment was enjoyed. In this April edition, you will be able to enjoy some photographs of the event and more information. We are very grateful and excited about the great success of this conference. Stay tuned, because we’re going for more!

On the other hand, we want to invite you to join us for another great event; Our 13th Children’s Day Festival, an incredible event for all children and their families. Saturday, April 27, from 10am to 2pm, at the Children’s Museum. An event that we provide annually for all children, in celebration of their day, which is celebrated in many countries around the world. A day to enjoy with them with endless activities, including free admission to the museum for all attendees from 10am to 5pm. A great festival awaits you, with live music, entertainment, resources, food, activities, games, pets, gifts, raffles, police corporations providing us with information and much more…Save the date, it is an event you cannot miss!

I would like to tell you that this is an election year where, in both countries; United States and Mexico, we have presidential elections, without a doubt to be wrong, they will be the most important we have experienced. I want to urge everyone to register to vote, educate themselves, and fulfill their commitment as citizens. Here in the United States, we have the opportunity to vote in person or by mail; I urge everyone to fulfill their right and make a difference in these elections. Remember, it is our duty as citizens of this great nation!

Our April edition contains very important information on health, education, well-being, resources, businesses, places of interest and the opportunity to know what our clients offer in their businesses. Let’s support our community!
