The Best Of Two Worlds

April 2, World Autism Awareness Day

Autism is a condition related to brain development that affects how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication. Also includes restricted and repetitive behavior patterns with various symptoms and severity.

Symptoms usually appear in the first year, but some undergo a regression period between 18 and 24 months.

Some have learning difficulties, and some show signs of high intelligence, although they have problems communicating, applying what they know in daily life, and adapting to social situations.

While there is no cure and there is no way to prevent autism spectrum disorder, intensive treatment can make a big difference in the lives of many children. Sometimes, it can be challenging to determine the severity because of the unique combination of symptoms each child presents. In general, it is based on the level of impairment and how it affects the ability to function

Autism spectrum disorders do not have a single known cause, but there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorders. Not vaccinating your child in childhood can put him or her and others at risk of death.
