It seems incredible that the month of February arrived like a sigh, the month of January went away like a dream that flew by. This has been a month of intense cold across the country, heavy snowfall, frozen temperatures in most of the states across the United States, it resulted in accidents on the roads, utilities down, this means a lot of problems for residents at work and in schools, climate change is inevitable; and experts say that we still have to wait for February and March, what surprises will it bring us? We love the heat of Arizona, don’t we?
On the other hand, the month of February arrives with great force, we continue with the gem fair, which is an event that attracts many tourists to Tucson. Large buyers of gems and jewelry bring a huge economic spill that benefits our city.
It is also time to welcome the month of love and friendship, Valentine’s Day on February 14 has become, a day of consumerism, although we should demonstrate our love, care, and friendship to family, friends and colleagues throughout all year.
And don’t forget La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, this important celebration has been around for 99 years of existence this 2024. It will start from February 17th to February 25th. Tucson waits for this great celebration and everyone dresses as cowboys, The rodeo parade is another big “Fiesta”, we rejoice with family and friends; this will take place on Thursday, February 22 with a new route; This year it will begin at 12th Avenue and Drexel, heading north on Nogales Hwy and culminating at the rodeo grounds on Irvington Rd.
