The Phoenix Suns, at 5-2, are among the biggest surprises of the NBA season.
Yes, it’s only seven games, but if the NBA playoffs were to begin today, the Suns would be the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Let that sink in for a second.
Last season, the team didn’t win its fifth game until Dec. 13. At that point in the season, the Suns were 5-24.
Not bad for a team that was viciously slammed by many NBA pundits for its offseason moves in free agency and the NBA draft.
Will the Suns start last? It’s really too early to tell. But, early indications are that the team is going to finish with a much better record than the 19-63 record it had a year ago.
Check out what NBA writers were saying about the team’s moves in the offseason and what they are saying about the team now.
