How these 4 generations will be buying during 2023?

In this occasion, I want to share with you this interesting information. I hope this helps to better understand your family and different generations. Enjoy! 

I want to start with the generation of the famous “Baby Boomers”, born during 1946-1964 between the ages of 58 -76.  This generation has something unique.  They’re confident, independent, and self-reliant, they have a strong work Ethic. Baby boomers aren’t afraid to put in a hard day of work. They prefer person-to-person treatment. In other words, 71% of these people like to buy in stores physically and they love to touch and feel the merchandise before buying it. Usually, they do not share their data, their purchases are focused on the area of health, finances and food.

We continue with generation X, ages 42-57 years old; born between 1965 and 1980. This generation prefers to look for great deals before buying; They rely a lot on testimonials and reviews, around more than 55% of them prefer online shopping, a little more than half of this generation. A curious fact of this generation, they do not like to use the computer very much, they prefer the cell phone and use it a lot to play.

Millennial generation: Born between 1981 -1996, ages between 26 and 41 years old. Much of their money is spent on traveling. 73% of them prefer online shopping, that is, almost the majority. They do not like to wait in line, they prefer self-service; and of all generations, this is the most likely to buy after seeing or watching an ad.

To conclude, generation Z, better known as the centennials, born between 1997 – 2012, age between 10 and 25 years old.  88% of them are not afraid to buy online and, like millennials, they invest a lot of money in experiences and trips. This generation is the one that consumes the most and participates the most in viral trends, as well as social media networks.
