New “dislike” button has received both excited and concerning responses from the public.
Mark Zuckerberg, owner of Facebook, gave a question-and-answer session September 15, 2015 announcing that this feature is in the works but is still not available. Inclusively the button may not be named “dislike,” an interesting statement made to help dispel any negative connotations associated with the purpose and use of the button.
Zuckerberg emphazied the use or ability to use the button is for posts otherwise not appropriate to “like,” such as the passing of a loved one, natural disasters, or any tragic event.
Overall the buzz surrounding this button has created anticipation and excitement for Facebook users.
