The Best Of Two Worlds

EDITOR´S LETTER

July reaches the middle of the year, with extreme heat and no rain, let’s hope the monsoon does its job and the long-awaited rains arrive soon. We remind you to protect yourselves in this heat and wear light clothing, do not go out during peak hours from 12 pm-6 pm, remember to wear sunscreen at all times. Take care of your plants and pets. It is not superfluous to remind all of you to take care of the children in the pools and protect the elderly.

This month marks the 246th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the United States, it is regularly a date that we enjoy and celebrate to the fullest. I feel that this year is a bittersweet celebration, since so many things are happening in our country, in addition to mass shootings every week, exorbitant gasoline prices, immigration, the increasingly expensive basics in supermarkets, as well as essential products are unattainable. As citizens of this country, we have to demand our senators, congressmen, as well as our local leaders to see for us; these prices are affecting us incredibly, money is not enough for anything. We have and we must speak and demand a stop to inflation and realize, how the communities are suffering.

On the other hand, I invite you to join us and be a part of our 11th annual Back to School event. Arizona Bilingual is celebrating eleven (11) years of organizing this great event and we feel very satisfied with what we have achieved. Being able to support the economy of our city and the families of Tucson. This year, the event will take place at the Tucson Convention Centeron Saturday, July 23, from 10 AM – 2 PM, we will be giving away up to 2,000 backpacks, school supplies, raffles, and many surprises. Our presenters, sponsors and organizations will offer resources for all. Completely FREE event for the whole family, we are waiting for you! For information, sponsorships, donations, and others call (520) 305-4110 or info@newsazb.com
