On Oct. 20, the FDA issued guidance on boosters for the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines. - 65 years of age and older
- 18 through 64 years of age at high risk of severe COVID-19
- 18 through 64 years of age with frequent institutional or occupational exposure to SARS-CoV-2
Additionally, official “mix and match” guidance has been authorized for those who received the Johnson and Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. A half dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine may be given to a person who received the single dose Johnson and Johnson/Jannsen vaccine more than two months ago.
