Neighborhood Care Alliance (NCA)

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Neighbors Care Alliance (NCA) is a network of neighborhood volunteer programs with the shared mission of helping older adults thrive safely in their homes for as long as possible. The programs serve specific geographic areas and each is organized independently. The Pima Council on Aging serves as program manager and provides tools to build infrastructure, volunteer training, networking opportunities, access to community resources, and mileage reimbursement. Volunteers support seniors through a variety of services that may include transportation to medical appointments and shopping, running errands, food delivery, phone calls and visits, yard and light house work, and respite care. carer. Neighbors connecting with neighbors reduces the social isolation many older adults face while helping to meet daily needs. Your neighborhood program will create a vast network of resources and support, creating a safety net for older adults.
